This load prints consistently less than MOA groups in the Remington 700 Classic and, I’ve never lost an animal using this load. (whitetails, pigs)

While deadly to deer, I learnt an awful lesson about this CoreLok on a massive British Columbian Black Bear. I was invited by a well-known ‘gun writer’s buddy, to join an grizzly and black bear hunt in close to BC. I brought an .338 WMA with NPs for the grizzly as well as my Remington 700 equipped with PCL for blacks and a potential Wolf. The second day we were out we saw a huge black near the water’s edge, and moved towards about 250 yards. The first shot was placed precisely on the shoulder closest to the broadside bear. The impact was confirmed by two glasses. The bear turned around and then walked some steps, and then began feeding again. I followed this photo with two more strikes directly on the shoulder. After that, the bear turned around and walked slowly through the dense bush. We were able to quickly locate the areas that he was struck by fur, but there was there was no blood. After reloading, we noticed him running through a tiny opening. I quickly swung and fired around 50 feet and struck his snout. He fell and then stood straight and sat in front of me around 30 feet.

I’ve killed 15 deer with 140 grain coreloks with the Remington 742 . The only deer to ever walked out of its tracks was one that was facing me with its head down. I killed it on front of its neck. Then the it was facing away from me, and its neck was totally severed, aside from skin holding head to. 15 deer in one shot killed I’m not sure 140 grain is a good number to get in the same 280.

I own three 280’s and this ammo is the correct choice if you’re looking for accuracy, feeding reliability and down range trajectory. Plus, plenty of knock down power even at long ranges. Try this ammo. You won’t be disappointed.

Shot 3 antelope with this .280 140 grain ammo this year. All three were complete pass throughs, through bone and all. All three were instantaneous and humane kills. The bullets expanded well. Accuracy out of my Browning X-Bolt was 1 MOA.

This is my favorite round for my 280. Very accurate and deadly on whitetail deer. Knock down power of this round is crazy good. Love this round deadliest mushroom in the woods!!
