I have recently put together the components of a .280 AI. Stiller action that is rode by Benchmark. I put it in the McMillan stock, using PTG bottom metal and an Timney trigger. I finished it off with the Leupold VX6-HD. I fired this ammo to break the barrel and then took it on a hunt for whitetail. I was able to get a quick shot at a three point buck within 200 yards. This was an extremely heart-shaped shot that was a complete pass through and some destruction throughout the course. I would not think twice about hunting any dangerous game using this combo.

  2. vanessavictoria

The first 3 shot group was measured at .816″ from an unreliable Kimber Hunter. As precise as the majority of my reloads right now. Chony’s speed is close to advertised velocity of 2825 fps! Four stars as I haven’t tried it in the field!

  3. chloeli43

I ordered 2 boxes of this ammo for the brass and barrel break in. Chrono average 2940 and 1 inch groups at 100 yards. Savage axis2 in boyds stock bedded. I also shot Nosler factory 140BT at 3140 and moa.

  4. vanessavictoria

Good ammo. Have a custom built 280 AI for hunting. It was built around 180 Berger bullets, but still shot these inside 1 MOA. Not a bad load.
